Yangnyer Geog has an area of 72.30 sq. km and is situated in the North West of the Trashigang Dzong. It covers an area of 72.3 sq. km. The geog has a boundary with Samkhar, Kanglung, Bartsham geog of Trashigang and Jamkhar geog of Tashiyangtse and Drametse of Mongar.
Yangneer Geog has 14 Major Villages called Chewog, which further sub divided into minor villages with minimum households of 1 to 2 and goes up to the maximum of 20 to 30 households.
