Prime Minister’s visit to Trashigang Dzongkhag |

The Prime Minister Lyonchen Jigme Y Thinley arrived the Dzongkhag Administration, Trashigang in the afternoon of 24th Jan 2009; His Excellency was received by the Dzongkhag Officials, Regional heads in front of the Royal Guest house.
On that same day at around 4.00 pm, the prime minster met with the Dashos, Sector heads and the regional heads of the Dzongkhag Administration, and discussed about the activity implantation in the 10th FYP in the DYT Hall.
In the meeting the minister talked about the network communications like telephone/mobile, roads extension & road broadening between Trashigang-S/Jongkhar highways like that of Thimphu-Paro and Thimphu-P/Ling highway which was completed.
Construction of the Railway station between Hashimara- Phuntsholing will soon put into force and will be named as the “Golden Jubilee Railway”, said the Prime Minister; similarly few other likely places are Samtsi, Gyelephu, Sarpang and Samdrup Jongkhar where the railway would be connected in the near future, said the Prime Minister.
The prime minster left for Pema Gatshel on 25th Jan 2009.
