The main objecting of organizing such a campaign was to reinforce public participation in activities geared towards environmental conservation, especially waste management for urban people. The campaign hoped to instill a sense of responsibility in people to take environmental conservation seriously and contribute in own small ways
The Dzongkhag Administration officials, other government and corporate sector employees, businessmen and monk bodies of Trashigang Rabdhey also took part in the campaign which started at 9:00am in the morning and ended at 12:30pm.
